The biggest IPO in India, the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) public issue offer (IPO), has finally arrived. The government revealed the launch date, allotment size, and other details at a news conference on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.

The LIC initial public offering (IPO) will begin on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, and end on Monday, May 9. The LIC IPO price range has been fixed at Rs. 902-949 per share. By selling a 3.5 percent stake in the insurance giant, the government hopes to generate roughly Rs. 21,000 crore from the IPO. The LIC IPO will be a pure offer for sale (OFS) of up to 221.37 million shares.

Step 1: Go to https://www.bseindia.com/investors/appli_check.aspx and fill out the application.

Step 2: Select your issue type.

Step 3: Fill out the issue name, application number, and PAN information.

Step 4: Click the “Search” button.

Important Note:-

  1. You must have a Demat account and ensure that your PAN information is updated in LIC’s systems.
  2. Your PAN information should be the same in both the LIC system and your Demat account to check your LIC allocation status.
  3. Non-policyholders are also eligible to apply for the LIC IPO.
