Tata Motors Q4 Results 2025: Profit Drops 51% and Dividend Declared

Tata Motors Q4 results reported a 51% YoY slump in consolidated net profit to ₹8,556 crores from ₹17,528 crores in the fourth quarter of the previous financial year. On a full-year basis, Tata Motors made a net profit of ₹28,149 crores, down 12% from ₹31,807 crores in FY24.

Tata Motors Q4 Results: Segment Performance

  • Tata Commercial Vehicles: Tata CV Revenue came at ₹21,485 crores, down 0.5% in Q4 FY25. EBITDA margin rose by 20 bps to 12.2% in the Tata Motors Q4 results.
  • Tata Passenger Vehicles: Tata PV Revenue came at ₹12,543 crores, down 13.1%. EBITDA margin was at 7.9% (+60 bps).
  • Jaguar Land Rover: JLR Revenue came in at £7.7b, down 1.7%. EBITDA margin dropped by 100 bps to 15.3% while EBIT rose by 150 bps to 10.7% in Q4 FY25.

Tata Motors Q4 Results: Management Commentary

PB Balaji, Group Chief Financial Officer, Tata Motors said, “Despite external headwinds, Tata Motors sustained its strong performance in FY25, delivering its highest ever revenues and PBT(bei). On a consolidated basis the automotive business is now debt-free, reducing interest costs. This is both pleasing and significant as it reflects healthy business fundamentals delivered by a resilient team.

Drawing strength from it, in this environment of heightened uncertainty, we will remain agile, proactively drive our growth agenda, reduce our cash breakeven further whilst continuing to invest in our future. With the shareholders also approving the demerger, we are on track to realise the full potential of each of the businesses.

Tata Motors Q4 Results: Dividend

Tata Motors has declared a final dividend of ₹6 per share (face value of ₹2 each) for the financial year 2024-25. The payment is expected to be made on June 24, 2025, which is subject to shareholders’ approval in the AGM.
